Learn New Sports and Make New Friends
Wednesday, 8 March, 2017
The February half term 'On Your Marks' Programme saw over 120 children and young people take part in a wide range of activities. The sessions, supported by Marks and Spencer (Guernsey), give youngsters the opportunity to stay active during the holidays in a fun and welcoming environment.
Over half of this years attendees are new participants to the programme and due to the affordable nature of the activities it means that cost is no longer a barrier to participation. Children in Year 3 - 6 experienced up to 10 different sports across the week during the morning sessions held at the Grammar School, while those in Year 6 - 11 could play team sports, squash and tenpin bowling. The popular 'Fun and Fit Club' was also a hit with children in Year R - 2 on Tuesday afternoon.
Booking forms for the Easter holidays will be available from Friday 10th March and parents/carers are advised to book their children onto the programme at the earliest opportunity to avoid disappointment.
