Sports Strategy Consultation – ‘A Plan for Sport’

5th July 2018

The Committee for Education, Sport & Culture is seeking your views on sport and activity in Guernsey, to help deliver a 'Plan for Sport'.

Following a debate last year by the States of Deliberation, it was agreed to develop a 'comprehensive Sports Strategy by July 2019', including outlining the funding needed to implement this strategy.

Since then, this consultation survey has been developed following input from:

Sports Commissioners from the Guernsey Sports Commission;
Staff from the Guernsey Sports Commission;
Staff from the newly formed Health Improvement Commission;
Physical Education Association (PEA).

It has also been informed by a number of other national and regional sports strategies, as well as other States of Guernsey strategies and focuses on five key themes:

There are two consultation surveys available - one for individuals to complete so they are able to put forward their own personal viewpoints, and one for Clubs and Associations to complete to represent the views of their members (co-ordinated by the Guernsey Sports Commission). Although concentrating on the same themes, the questions do vary slightly in each version.

The survey for individuals can be completed online by following the link:

The survey for this consultation closes on Sunday 22nd July 2018 and the results will be published 12 weeks after the close of consultation.
