Guernsey Yacht Club is proud to have promoted sailing in Guernsey since 1890. The club supports a wide range of sailing related activities including dinghy racing, yacht racing and cruising, junior sailing, power boating and our safety and pilotage evenings are unrivalled.
We offer sailing on the pond in a fun and safe environment for the first time sailor to experience the sport, and run regular training and racing for our junior sailors closely following the RYA syllabus.
The GYC offers some of the finest sailing, shore and social facilities in the Channel Islands with unrivalled views across the islands and to France as well as a superb view of St Peter Port.
We are committed to the development of the sport within the island and as well as running a full race calendar, we also host many visiting clubs and regattas, including JOG, Swans and for 2021 Spirit yachts. Our members regularly take part in regattas in the UK, France and around the world.
The GYC was the base for sailing and windsurfing at the Island Games in Guernsey in 2003, and we are looking forward to hosting this prestigious event again in 2021.
