The Sports Commission have a range of administration jobs which require support and would welcome any individuals who can spare their time to support us with data inputting, report creating, letter writing and minute taking. Oliver, is in charge of marketing at the Commission and is keen to seek out new ideas and designs for his marketing literature, and welcomes support with graphic design, article writing, press releases, video promotion and photography.

The Sports Commission have 48 different member sports who also require continued volunteer support in a variety of different ways. Our members sports range from Bowls, Rugby, Sailing, Cricket, Fencing and a vareity of Motor Sports. From transporting players to and from games, running the cafe, recording results or marshalling an event. All of these roles remain key, and are required if sports clubs are to function correctly. Please contact your sports club to find out whether they require any volunteers, or visit our member sports web page to find a sport you are interested in supporting.

Whether you are looking to develop your CV, or looking to give something back to the community, or whether you just want to meet some new people and try something different, volunteering in Guernsey could be for you. Providing your time, for a worthwhile cause, will help those 300 charities and numerous sports clubs and organisations based in Guernsey, function normally. Without the ongoing support from parents, coaches, administrators and individuals on the island, we wouldn’t have such a broad range of opportunities for islanders to get involved withand stay active.
