The Guernsey Basketball Association was formed in 1969. Today the Vistra Leagues accommodate 21 teams and nearly 300 players across 4 leagues offering an opportunity for anyone interested to play.
The Future Stars programme takes place every Saturday at St Sampsons School where more than 150 children aged 5-15 learn the skills required before making the jump to the competitive leagues. Guernsey also has four Island representative teams at Senior (Men and Women), Under 21 and Under 17 who compete at the annual Inter-Insular matches and in the case of the senior teams, the Island Games held every other year.
