Guernsey Cricket is looking to recruit a Chief Operations Officer (COO) to provide operational leadership to cricket on the Island. The role will work closely with the board and cricket staff to ensure that cricket on the Island is well resourced and effectively organised.
The ideal candidate will have strong financial management experience, excellent business administration skills and the ability to manage relationships with sponsors and other stakeholders. The role will also interact directly with the International Cricket Council (ICC), ensuring Guernsey are financially compliant and its interests are actively represented.
This is an exciting time for local cricket with the women’s team recently securing an ICC ranking, the men’s team heading into the next round of the T20 World Cup qualifying process and growth in the number of junior players in both boys and girls cricket.
Experience of cricket is not essential however an understanding of sport administration would be beneficial. Organisational skills, an eye for detail and excellent people skills are all key to the successful execution of the role.
