July 8, 2024

Mark your calendars for the Utmost Community Sports Funday, returning with a splash on Saturday, 31 August, from 12 pm to 4 pm at the picturesque Saumarez Park. This much-anticipated event, organised in collaboration with the Guernsey Sports Commission, promises a day of fun, fitness, and friendly competition—completely free of charge.

Whether you’re a budding athlete or just fancy trying out what Guernsey has to offer, there’s something for everyone. Come along to the park to have a go at a variety of sports (over 20 on the day) including boxing, cheerleading, motorsport, cycling, football, cricket, netball, and table tennis.

Back by popular demand, the Sports Challenge Card offers attendees a great way to engage in the day’s activities. Complete a series of fun challenges and you could walk away with an exclusive sports-related prize, perfect for home or school. It’s not just about winning; it’s about participating and giving it your all!

Ensuring a safe and secure environment, St. John’s Ambulance will be on-site, ready to assist and interact with the community. Their presence underscores our commitment to a well-organised and carefree experience for everyone.

Nicky Will, Director of Communications for the Guernsey Sports Commission, shared, “The Utmost Community Sports Funday has really become a must attend event for our island community. It’s more than just sports; it’s about uniting people, fostering well-being, and creating lasting memories. These are the core aims of the Sports Commission so it is great to see them reflected during the event.”

Leon Steyn, CEO of Utmost International Guernsey, added, “We are proud to witness the event’s growing success each year. It is a testament to the vibrant spirit of our community and the power of sports to bring us together. We look forward to seeing you all at Saumarez Park.”
