Marc joins team GSC

The Guernsey Sports Commission are delighted to welcome Marc Boyd to the team.

Marc will be joining the PE team and will be bringing a great amount of experience to the team.

Marc has been working as a PE teacher in a secondary and linked primary school and also as a coach in Kent over the last 11 years. During this time he was responsible for coaching a wide range of different sports to all age groups, whilst also having the responsibility of organising sport festivals for local primary schools, school trips and holiday programmes.

Marc is a qualified RFU coach and has experience working within the community programme with London Irish and Saracens, the county set up for Kent Rugby and more recently he has been involved in England touch as both a player and coach.

Prior to this, Marc played for Harlequins and London Scottish in his younger days and was also a personal trainer and sports therapist for many years.

“I look forward to working with the Sports Commission and embracing the challenge of working in the primary schools on this exciting new project”, he said.
