The Guernsey Sports Commission understands it can be tough for children and young people in self isolation and difficult for them to keep fit and active when schools are closed.
To try to help, we have relaunched our PE at Home videos – a series of fun, flexible and easy to follow videos available to schools and the wider community.
‘The videos focus on many of the Fundamental Movement Skills which are firmly embedded in the PE Curriculum in our schools,’ said Jeremy Frith, the Commission’s Performance Director.
‘They are inclusive and progressive and children can build up their skills in activities such as jumping, throwing, skipping, dodging and striking.
‘They can easily be done at home and you don’t need any specific equipment to do the activities,’ said Jeremy.
‘Good physical and mental wellbeing is an important focus for us all, particularly at this time, and we advise all parents and carers to take a look at the videos and encourage their children to have a go.’
All the PE at Home videos are available on the Guernsey Sports Commission's YouTube Channel
