Utmost Family Fun Day 2020

On Saturday 15^th August we held our annual Sports Commission Family Fun Day and were very grateful to be sponsored by Utmost Worldwide. Islanders were once again encouraged to get active, enjoy themselves and try something new during this FREE event at Saumarez Park.

The event offered a variety of free sports taster sessions for all ages to get involved in. The Guernsey Sports Commission hopes that islanders will have the chance to discover new hobbies or sports they can continue to enjoy as a family. It was a fun filled day with lots to try! We were really pleased with how the day went, with over 1,000 people in attendance.

Activities on offer included Athletics, Basketball, Badminton, Cricket, Fencing, Golf, Hockey, Netball, Petanque, Sailing, Squash, Tennis and Walking Football. In addition we had the Health Improvement Commission team, as well as Free Play and our Inflatable Football Pitch.

We would like to pass on our thanks to all of the Sports, Coaches and Volunteers on hand to help people make the most of the sessions and put on a brilliant show as per usual! We’ve had lots of great feedback and had over 300 entries into the activity challenge raffle.
